Part 1:

• Medical Terminology and Anatomy and Physiology (45 hours): Covers key medical terms, diseases, diagnostic tests, and clinical procedures. Students learn to analyze and construct medical terms for accurate communication.
• Medical Coding (45 hours): Introduces ICD-10-CM, CPT, and HCPCS coding systems, focusing on accuracy, structure, and guidelines. Students practice coding scenarios to build confidence and proficiency.

Part 2:

• Revenue Cycle Management and Health Insurance (60 hours): Teaches the healthcare claims process, electronic health records, payer types, and reconciliation of accounts. Students gain insights into the U.S. healthcare system and insurance models like Medicare, Medicaid, and private insurance.
• Compliance and Legal Responsibility (15 hours): Focuses on HIPAA, ethical standards, and legal compliance within medical billing and coding.
• NHA Test Prep and Review (10 hours): Helps students prepare for the CBCS exam with practice tests, personal review plans, and focused guidance.

To enroll in the program, applicants must meet the following requirements:

• A high school diploma or equivalent (e.g., HSE or GED).
• Knowledge of medical terminology is recommended but not mandatory.

Textbooks are required but are not included in the tuition. Students will receive textbook recommendations from instructors during the first class.
